Their mission is rooted in the belief that the classics are timeless for a reason — they reflect the heart of humanity, touching on themes like friendship, grief, forgiveness, love, and scorn that still resonate deeply today.

We are so excited to welcome the City of Stories fundraiser to Hidden Gem Events this fall. This meaningful evening, hosted by the Meridian Library Foundation, is a celebration of the power of storytelling and the essential role libraries play in shaping community, connection, and growth.
This year’s theme, Rooted in Stories, honors how stories—like plants—need care, space to grow, and strong roots. For so many in our community, the Meridian Library is that nurturing place.
Guests will enjoy a night filled with storytelling, garden-inspired food and drinks, and a creative bouquet-making activity using book-shaped vases. It’s the perfect blend of celebration and purpose.
We are proud to support this event and thrilled to see our space used to uplift the work of our local library district. Helping build something that strengthens the community we love is what Hidden Gem is all about.
All proceeds from the event and online auction will support the launch of MOBI (Mobile Outreach Bus of Ideas) — a mobile library bringing books, programs, and creativity directly into neighborhoods, schools, parks, and senior centers across Meridian.
